Creative Youth Opportunities (CIC) is a community arts organisation, established in 2014, we work with young people & children (school years 2-13) across the North East.
We are an Arts Organisation working to create stronger communities and amazing art.
We work with young people as we truly believe they are the future of our communities and also that they are part of these communities right now!
They have a valuable contribution to make and should be at the heart of communities being nurtured and supported.
We use ART and creativity as our tool to engage with young people and to also give them a voice, help them make sense of the world around them and help them to be an active member of their community… We believe in the power of art to give a voice, bring about real change and to transform communities, all whilst changing the lives of young people, giving them the opportunity to learn new skills, grow in confidence, be inspired and to aspire to more… more for them, more for the communities and more for the wider world.
We are a Community Interest Company (not for profit, Registration Number 8873605) Based in East Durham, we work across the North East.
